Angular contact ball bearings, also known as center ball bearings by experienced mechanics. Despite its small size, this thing plays a crucial role in the machine! Just like the person who carries the big beam at home, whether it's the force from the side or the force from pushing forward in one direction, it can steadily withstand it. Even if the working environment of the machine is damp and dirty, or the vibration is particularly strong, with it, the equipment can operate normally without easy problems.
Upon disassembling the bearing, the rolling elements inside are round and smooth balls. However, the inner and outer rings are not flat, but have some angles, commonly 15 °, 25 °, and 40 °. This angle is absolutely stunning! For example, it's like building a slide with a slope for a small ball. When the machine rotates quickly, the force pushing forward follows this "slide" and suddenly becomes a force moving sideways. In addition, the curvature of the slide is designed to be just right, and this force can be smoothly transmitted, firmly grasping the shaft without shaking it left or right, naturally improving the accuracy of the machine's rotation.
When it comes to materials, they are all solid and good things. In general, GCr15, a high carbon chromium bearing steel, is used.
Sometimes a single bearing is not strong enough, and several bearings can be assembled together for use, single row, double row, or even multiple row. During installation, the technicians also adjust the bearings tightly to ensure that each shaft bears even force, making the entire machine system more stable and efficient, saving a lot of maintenance and downtime!
